About Caroline
Caroline Wright holds the field of Awakening Within, an integrative space for conscious awakening and remembering.
About Caroline
Her work supports individuals who sense a deeper shift unfolding within their lives and who are willing to meet that process with honesty, presence, and responsibility.
Rather than offering a system or fixed path, Caroline’s approach invites a steady exploration of lived experience across the five layers of being — physical, emotional, mental, intellectual, and cosmic.
Through embodied practice, reflective dialogue, immersion and residency experiences, participants are supported in developing discernment, nervous system stability, and a deeper relationship with their own inner authority.
Embodied Yoga Practice and Scaravelli Lineage
Caroline’s work is grounded in embodied practice.
Her approach to movement is influenced by the lineage of Vanda Scaravelli, through her 300-hour training with Intelligent Yoga Teacher Training.
This lineage emphasises sensitivity to gravity, breath, and the natural intelligence of the body rather than striving toward external forms.
In practice, this often appears as a combination of:
• Scaravelli-informed yoga
• somatic exploration
• breathwork
• voicework
• restorative practice
• reflective stillness
Movement is not approached as performance but as a way of listening to the body and allowing awareness to settle more deeply within experience.
Background & Experience
Caroline has spent many years exploring the relationship between embodied practice, self-inquiry, and the deeper shifts that can occur within human experience.
Much of this exploration emerged through her own lived experience of imbalance and disconnection, and the gradual rediscovery of practices that support greater coherence between the body, mind, and emotional life.
Over time she began to study and integrate approaches including yoga, somatic awareness, breathwork, meditation, Ayurvedic lifestyle principles, and reflective inquiry. These practices gradually revealed a quieter relationship with the body, nervous system, and the subtle patterns that shape how life is lived.
Alongside her 300-hour training with Intelligent Yoga Teacher Training in the lineage of Vanda Scaravelli, Caroline has guided retreats, workshops, and classes for many years, supporting individuals who are seeking a grounded and integrated approach to personal exploration.
Her work also draws on experience with holistic bodywork, mindfulness practices, breathwork, and the application of everyday movement and lifestyle awareness as part of a sustainable approach to wellbeing.
Over time this exploration gave rise to the Awakening Within field, bringing together embodied practice, immersion & residency experiences, reflective dialogue, and guidance for those navigating periods of inner change and integration.
Rather than presenting a fixed system, the work continues to develop through lived experience, attentive observation, and the ongoing dialogue between practice and life.
A Different Way of Living
During the pandemic, a quiet moment of meditation revealed a simple but powerful question, what might life look like if it were lived at a slower, more attentive pace, a rhythm centred around presence, wellbeing, and meaningful connection?
Rather than returning to the intensity of corporate life in London, Caroline and her husband Mark chose to explore that question by creating a place where a different rhythm could be lived.
Together with their two dogs they moved from the United Kingdom to Spain and began gradually shaping what is now the setting at Casa de Alegría, meaning House of Joy.
Today the space supports several aspects of the work held by Awakening Within, including embodied practice, immersion & residency experiences, mentoring conversations, and a small apartment where guests can stay while spending time in the environment.
The intention has always been simple — to create a place where people can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and spend time exploring what is unfolding within their lives.
Mark
Mark spent more than thirty years working in London before choosing to embrace a quieter pace of life in Spain.
At Casa de Alegría he looks after the practical side of the environment, maintaining the gardens, caring for the property, and designing many of the structures found around the space. His passion for woodworking can be seen throughout the grounds, from pergolas and decks to the many small details that give the space its character.
During I Am Awakening Immersion and Residency Intergrations, Mark assists with practical aspects of the experience such as transport, walks in the surrounding area, and supporting the everyday rhythm of the space.
Louie
Louie is the resident dog at Casa de Alegría and a familiar presence around the property.
He enjoys greeting guests and observing embodied yoga practice from a comfortable spot. Louie is relaxed and happy to keep his distance if guests prefer a quieter interaction.
Caroline
After nearly three decades working in corporate roles in London, including Executive Assistant, Office Management, and Human Resources, Caroline began to sense the need for a different way of living.
Her introduction to Yoga began in 2004 through physical practice in a gym. Over time that practice evolved into something much deeper, gradually shifting how she related to movement, awareness, and daily life.
This unfolding eventually led to formal Yoga training, including a 300-hour Scaravelli-influenced teacher training with Intelligent Yoga Teacher Training, and the development of the work that is now held within Awakening Within.
Caroline’s approach emphasises attentiveness, discernment, and embodied awareness rather than performance or achievement. Her role is not to provide answers but to hold a space where individuals can begin to listen more carefully to their own intelligence and responsibility within the unfolding of their lives.
As Caroline’s lineage teacher Vanda Scaravelli once expressed:
“Teaching starts with freedom and ends with freedom.”
Casa de Alegria
Caroline hosts in-person work at Casa de Alegría, a quiet mountain setting in Spain.
The space allows participants to step away from the pace of everyday life while remaining grounded in a natural environment that supports reflection, embodied practice, and integration.
I Am Awakening — Immersion experiences and Residency Integration stays are hosted here throughout the year, offering contained spaces for those who wish to engage the work more deeply.
A Lived Process
Her approach is grounded in lived experience rather than inherited systems. The work invites discernment, sovereignty, and the gradual remembering of what is already present beneath conditioning.
Awakening Within is not designed for quick fixes or spiritual performance. Instead, the work recognises awakening as a lived and ongoing process, one that often unfolds gradually through attention, reflection, and embodied awareness.
It is a quiet, steady field for those ready to engage awakening as a lived process.
Caroline’s role within this work is not to provide answers, instead it holds a steady space in which individuals can begin to recognise their own clarity and responsibility within the unfolding of their lives.
